A meeting of the Student Council under the Ministry was held
On March 3-4, within the framework of the Republican Student Forum “Your moment”, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek came to Atyrau region on a working visit.
First, the Minister got acquainted with the condition of the dormitory No. 2, recognized as an emergency at the Atyrau University named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov. Currently, students are accommodated in dormitories of other educational institutions of the region, an agreement has been concluded with these places until the end of the year. Experts conduct an expert check of the condition of the building.
In addition, Sayasat Nurbek met with students of the Ustaz boarding school for boys at Atyrau University, where he learned about the condition of future teachers and gave lectures for students. About 100 students of grades 10-11 from the districts study at the school for free. Ustaz gives students the opportunity to master the profession of pedagogy in the future and contribute to reducing the shortage of male teachers in the education system.
The meeting with future teachers continued with meetings of the teaching staff of the Atyrau University named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov. During the meeting, the Minister spoke about changes in the field of science and education and future plans.
"Currently, a seven-year concept for the development of science and higher education is being prepared. As part of this, 7.5 billion dollars will be allocated for higher education. These funds will become the basis for the construction of new academic buildings and dormitories, the opening of laboratories and infrastructure development. Also, priority will be given to higher educational institutions of the regions," the minister said.
Within the framework of the republican forum "Your Moment", Sayasat Nurbek took part in a meeting of the Student Council under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At the event, which brought together active students from different regions, the Minister shared important information about science, education, listened to suggestions and opinions of active students.
