"Honesty Hour" was held for teachers and students of Atyrau University named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov with the participation of the leadership of the Anti-Corruption Department.

The aim of the event is to form zero tolerance towards corruption among the younger generation and instill moral values.

Opening the meeting with a preface, the Rector of the University Salamat Idrissov expressed his gratitude to the guest. Noting the special importance for the Head of State of the issue of combating corruption, he said that these works are being conducted systematically.

- The main focus is paid to the formation of an anti-corruption culture at Atyrau University. All specialties are taught the discipline "fundamentals of anti-corruption culture". In addition, since 2021, the university has created a service of compliance officers to prevent and combat corruption risks. The university's anti-corruption program "ANTICORUP ASU" has been implemented, - said S. Idrisov.

In turn, Yerulan Serikkaliyev spoke about the work carried out by the department and the concept of anti-corruption policy for 2022-2026. In addition, he noted that the university is of great importance in forming immunity against corruption among young people.

- Educational organizations will work not only on the education and upbringing of the younger generation, but also on raising the younger generation as honest, intelligent and conscious citizens. That is, a real patriotic personality will be formed from an educated, well–mannered and honest generation who will worry about the future of their country, despise corruption, and contribute to the development of the country," the head of the department said.

At the end of the meeting, the teachers, professors and students shared their thoughts, asked important questions and received answers.
