French language will be taught in depth at Kh. Dosmukhamedov University
At the Atyrau University named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov, an online meeting was held with the Attache for cooperation in the field of education of the French Embassy in Kazakhstan Xavier Torivelec, the Director of the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute Anès Bousses, the Director of the International School "Miras" named after Charles de Gaulle Veronica Anès-Broadbent and the coordinator of the University of Poitiers in Central Asia Licia Bagini.
The aim of the meeting is to discuss the conditions for teaching French as the first foreign language for students of the specialty "Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages" at Kh. Dosmukhamedov University from the 2024-2025 academic year.
At the meeting, the Chairman of the Board-Rector of the university Salamat Idrissov thanked the French -Embassy in Kazakhstan for its support in teaching French, noting the high importance of teaching French at the level of the first foreign language, which was previously taught at the university as a second foreign language.
In addition, other university students were given the opportunity to study French. For this purpose, the university will create all the opportunities for mastering the language.
During the meeting, the Attache of the French Embassy Xavier Torivelec congratulated the students on the new academic year and noted that the embassy will always provide assistance to language learners, students and teachers will be given the opportunity to undergo internships at universities in France. It was also noted that there will be an opportunity to study on a grant, in particular for students majoring in economics, law, mathematics, physics if they master the French language.
According to the Ambassador of France to Kazakhstan Sylvain Guiguet, textbooks will be delivered in the near future in order to provide French language students with the necessary textbooks.
