The Department of civil law disciplines is in the Faculty of Economics and law of Atyrau University named after H. Dosmukhamedov, which educates students as competitive future lawyers based on the use of Kazakhstan's innovation and world experience, the expansion of educational and practical activities.
The mission of the department is to provide qualified specialists with sustainable socio – humanitarian industrial and innovative development of the West Kazakhstan region.
The main goal of the department is to ensure the improvement of the level of continuing education of the student as a future lawyers, a creative person who is able to think in a unique problem – based and constructive way, a creator of variable programs, based on world best practices and New technologies.
Tasks of the Department:
- Adaptation of the Department's activities in education to the requirements of the market;
- Conducting theoretical, methodological and practical classes in the disciplines of the department at a high level;
- Introduction of modern forms of education in the process of continuous learning in accordance with the tasks of the education system and the requirements of students;
- Development and implementation of a program of scientific research work of the department focused on the Applied use of the results of scientific, innovative, educational, methodological and publishing activities in law enforcement educational organizations;
- Involvement of public organizations in conducting cultural and educational events in student dormitories;
The teaching staff of the department is high qualified personnel.
Currently, there are candidates of science, masters, senior teachers, 20 teachers-professors in total.

According to the educational program, the Department prepares specialties in two directions:
6B04201-jurisprudence; 6b04203-international law
6b04203-international law the goal is to train highly qualified lawyers in the field of international law who can become part of the elite of lawyers in Kazakhstan and meet the challenges of society and the requirements of the modern labor market.
The goal of 6b04201-jurisprudence is to possess competencies that meet the requirements of modern education and employers, possess key competencies that are in demand in the labor market that allow them to realize their capabilities in accordance with the level of professional education. Training of lawyers with deep knowledge, sufficient professional level and basic skills in the field of jurisprudence.
Communication with law enforcement agencies:
We have established a cooperation with the prosecutor's Office of Atyrau region.
Our university’s goal: to strengthen cooperation in the field of legal education, and research.

Within the framework of the Memorandum of cooperation between Atyrau University and the Police Department of Atyrau region, the Investigative Department of the Police Department of Atyrau region together with the Department of Civil Law disciplines created a club "Kaisar investigators" among students of the specialty of jurisprudence.
In the work of the club, police officers are trained in modern methods of conducting and investigating criminal cases, sharing their professional knowledge with club members. Thus, the police officers will train qualified specialists from among the members of the club, who will become investigators in the future.

In addition, we have good relations with Atyrau Regional Court, Department of Justice of Atyrau region, specialized administrative court of Atyrau city of private notaries, Atyrau regional Advocate Association.
