Where better to learn the language of a country than at the leading university in the region for language studies.
ASU has, almost since its creation being a centre for languages and the teaching o the national language has always been a high priority on the academic planning for the university.
In 2017 changes are being instigated to the Kazakh alphabet to move away from the Cyrillic script and move to a more western style. The university is already capturing this move in its teaching practices.
Students are being encouraged to learn the national language, many have learnt Russian as the primary language and the movement in the country is toward re-establishing the Kazakh language as the primary communication language in the country.
